About Us
Our Journey from University to Corporation
We founded DFT IT at Reutlingen University, where we excelled in the Business Informatics program. We met through hackathons and software projects hosted at the university. After winning several hackathons together and completing a project with LBBW, we decided to utilize our skills as freelancers while continuing our studies.
After some time, we combined our skills and created a corporation that helps businesses and startups with their unique technological challenges. Our goal was to create a one-stop shop for anyone in need of technical expertise or a reliable development team they can depend on.
Our First Major Project
How We Collaborated with LBBW
Our first significant project together was developing an internal web application for Germany's sixth-largest bank, the State Bank of Baden-Württemberg (LBBW).
This project, which lasted nearly one and a half years, allowed us to work together on a large-scale endeavor. We discovered a strong synergy in how we communicated with the board and managed the project overall.
Partly due to the success of this project, we decided to continue working together, which led to the formation of DFT IT as a small-scale company offering contractual work for businesses and startups.

Our Start with the Center for Entrepreneurship
How the Center for Entrepreneurship helped us on our journeyStarting a business while completing a university degree is a demanding task. The Center for Entrepreneurship aided us in several aspects of starting the business. From providing a workspace to forming connections with other startups and businesses, the Center for Entrepreneurship at Reutlingen University offered us crucial opportunities.
With their help, we were able to focus on the most important aspects of work and grow the business while successfully completing our studies.
